This will suit a Workplace Relations Special Counsel that really should be a Partner but may find themselves blocked.
Effectively, this is an entrenched Western Australian firm that is seeking someone with the technical and commercial capability to lead Employment law for their existing clients as part of a strategic expansion to the firm in 2025.
This firm currently has a depth across Corporate, Energy and Resources, Commercial, Property, Litigation and IT and Innovation.
Your Opportunity
- Connect and Engage with a very strong contingent of mid cap mining and technology firms and grow your client base significantly.
- Provide workplace relations strategy advice, workforce management, reviews and restructuring as well as the carriage of employment disputes for select clients as they arise.
- Consult with key WA business leaders, advising HR practitioners, C Suite and both private and public boards as needed.
- Enjoy a collegiate and supportive environment where the MD is passionate about elevating the next layer of leaders in the law in Perth.
- Highly competitive remuneration [Base + percentage of your own billings paid once or twice annually in consultation with MD]
About You:
- Depth of knowledge across State and Federal workplace laws.
- Employer side expertise in various relevant judicial environments including the Fair Work Commission, Supreme Court and the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
- Consultative client centric approach to fostering business relationships.
- Proven Commercial acumen and standing in Employment Law in Perth.
- Motivated to take ownership of your own Directorship and lead something for yourself in Employment Law.
